The Adventurous Victorian2020-10-08T10:08:01-05:00

New York

Inside this unassuming Victorian home lives modern-day explorer and mystery solver, Justin Fornal. On top of hosting his TV show UNEXPLAINED AND UNEXPLORED , he’s been slowly transforming this Victorian home for the last couple of years. This stately 4,500 Sq. Ft. colonial pays homage to a bygone era in architecture. Designed in 1897 by James Brite and Henry Bacon, whose most notable public works include the original Madison Square Garden and the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., this home really showcases the federalist details of that period.

This home features six bedrooms, six fireplaces, 3.5 baths, a large family room, a formal dining room and several secret passages. With the help of friends and family, Fornal is in the middle of redesigning and decorating each room one by one. Employing found materials such as funeral kneelers, mortician tables, brass lamps, coffins, and ornately carved head-boards, Fornal and team are transforming this stately old home into an opulent visual experience with a macabre sensibility

The Weird Homes Tour’s physical and virtual home tours showcase unique and interesting homes in cities all across the world.  They are highly Instagram and social media worthy and family-friendly events where photos are welcome.
