The Davids’ Pop Art House2020-06-10T15:02:55-05:00

Weird Homes Tour – Detroit

Judy and John Davids’ modest 1916 bungalow holds quite the surprise as you enter.  Inside, the house acts like a giant pop art installation.  A gallery where every wall has either a bold color or a psychedelic print on it.

All this color seamlessly melds with a collage of art and decorations from every decade.  60’s Warhol inspired paintings and recent band posters mix surprisingly well with mid-century modern furniture. And don’t forget the 70’s accent pillows. It shouldn’t all go together but it does. As an important note, much of the amazing art you can see comes from the Soul Studio. They serve as a sanctuary for budding artists with special needs.

It’s all smart, fun, loud and absolutely perfect.

The Weird Homes Tour’s self-driving and virtual home tours showcase unique and interesting homes in cities all across the world.  They are highly Instagram and social media worthy and family-friendly events where photos are welcome.
