Home of the Found and Forgotten2020-10-15T11:44:42-05:00

Queens, New York

Someone once told Wren that his apartment is like “Grey Gardens meets Hellraiser” and we would all have to agree! There’s equal parts macabre and the beauty of the ravages of time.  Every wall and surface grows with his collections like a coral reef consisting of the found and forgotten! Wren doesn’t collect anything specific but instead focuses more on the way the item makes him feel or for its aesthetic. Old childhood toys live with Victorian dolls. Moth eaten taxidermy lives next to old band posters on the walls. It’s curated clutter and it’s the only way he knows how to live!

Wren also makes jewelry and wearable art from all of the things he finds at the flea market. His company, PUREVILE!, was born from this want to find a way to take these tattered things he loves and make them wearable! Working out of a home studio, Wren’s living and work spaces are forever entwined, often incorporating personal items into his pieces!
