Weird Homes Tour – Detroit

Have you ever been to the Woodbridge neighborhood? Up the river…Grand River, and on ‘the landing’ of downtown in one of Detroit’s most historic neighborhoods sits Gary and Cathy Schwartz’s beautiful home. The architecture alone is ‘must see,’ bringing forth craftsman-style elements and amazing woodwork.

All of this serves as the backdrop for Gary and Cathy’s collection of quirky art and novelties. These Austin/LA transplants have adopted Detroit as their home and have curated some of the most unique items in their worldly travels. Picture an antique pigeon racing clock all the way from Belgium. Hard to imagine, isn’t it?

Gary and Cathy are artists in their own right with high attention to detail for stop motion photography and yarn sculptures. Pull the string and you will get the owner’s deep detail of the home and surrounding area.
