McGowen Container House – VIP Tickets Only

Posted on Aug 31, 2018 by in 2018 Houston Weird Homes, All Weird Homes, Uncategorized | 0 comments

It was always a long time dream of Will Breaux to design and build his own home. For many of those years that dream consisted of using shipping containers in the construction, a new idea at that time. Now that Will’s McGowen street home is nearly complete, containers are becoming a more common material. But while most container homes go minimal, Will has gone maximal, incorporating 11 containers to create 3 stories and over 2,500 sq feet of living space. It has been a true labor of love with Will doing much of the construction work himself.

Entrance to the McGowen Container House requires a VIP ticket.  A VIP ticket gets you access to the McGowen Container House the day of the tour along with some snacks, champagne and weird surprises — PLUS a complimentary copy of our bestselling book: Weird Homes: The People and Places That Keep Austin Strangely Wonderful.

VIP holders will also receive a ticket to see the Project Freedom west Katy airplane house.  Tours of the home can be booked at a later date.  Reservation instructions will be emailed to ticket buyers after the tour.
